Even as the words were spilling out of his mouth, they sounded ridiculous. “Outstanding” was not the way most people would’ve described the Eagles season just moments after they got their helmets handed to them – again – by the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday night. But, that’s the word Donovan McNabb came up with. Outstanding. Not disheartening. Not challenging. Not nerve-racking. You could’ve made a case for gratifying. But outstanding? Not exactly.
