Brian Dawkins says the pain of leaving Philadelphia Eagles is gone for good

What hurt worse than a fourth failure in five NFC Championship Games, hurt worse than anything, was having to leave the city of his “birth” after it became clear the Eagles weren’t as serious about bringing him back as they may have indicated earlier. But Brian Dawkins, who will return to the region today as the celebrity host of the Burn Prevention Classic at Saucon Valley Country Club, said the pain is gone now. Only pleasant memories remain of his time with the Philadelphia Eagles.
