There is no scientific proof that the quarterback being best friends with the center decreases the likelihood of a botched snap. But it can’t hurt. Mike McGlynn and Kevin Kolb are best friends on the Eagles. Since McGlynn replaced the injured Nick Cole three days ago, the center-quarterback exchange has been as precise as a Rolex. “Have I had any fumbles yet?” McGlynn asked rhetorically. “Knock on wood.” Cole struggled with the snap in the practices before his knee injury, but the Eagles insist he is still first on the depth chart until Jamaal Jackson returns from his knee injury.
