DeMarcus Ware sits out Cowboys’ practice with stiff back

Pro Bowl outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware did not participate in the Cowboys’ practice on Thursday because of back stiffness. That can mean only one thing. He will have a big performance in Saturday’s playoff game against Philadelphia. Ware has established a pattern this season of having strong games in the wake of injuries. He had two sacks and two tackles for a loss in the win at Kansas City despite a stress fracture in the left foot. Shortly after a stress fracture was found in the left wrist, Ware had one sack and two tackles for a loss against the New York Giants in December.
