The fallout from the Easter Sunday trade of quarterback Donovan McNabb continues even as the dust settles on one of the biggest deals the league has seen in years. It’s rare that franchise quarterbacks are traded, much less within the same division. But the notion that the Eagles will be haunted for years by this is clearly a stretch, even if McNabb plays at a high level for three or more seasons. He won’t single-handedly elevate the Redskins into a playoff team, and the Eagles know it.
