Eagles’ Dorenbos added to Pro Bowl roster

It’s rarely a good thing when the long snapper gets noticed. Yesterday it was a great thing for Jon Dorenbos. The Eagles’ long snapper, who had to overcome the gruesome childhood tragedy of his father’s killing his mother, learned that he had been added to the NFC’s Pro Bowl roster for the Jan. 31 game in Miami. “This is what every kid dreams about,” Dorenbos said during a conference call. “I’m going to the NFL all-star game.” Dorenbos became the seventh Eagles player named to the NFC squad, joining defensive end Trent Cole, offensive tackle Jason Peters, cornerback Asante Samuel, wide receiver DeSean Jackson, kicker David Akers, and fullback Leonard Weaver.
