Eagles fall to Jets

September 4th, 2009

The Eagles lost their final exhibition game, 38-27, to the New York Jets tonight at Giants Stadium. Michael Vick scored his first Eagles touchdown and threw his first Eagles interception during the contest. Earlier in the day, Vick learned from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell that his suspension for his dogfighting conviction will end in time for him to play in the third game of the regular season. Last night, the Eagles led 24-17 at halftime and held the edge for most of the contest. But the Jets rallied for the victory, scoring three second-half touchdowns. The Eagles took a 14-7 lead early in the second quarter when Vick scored his first touchdown as an Eagle.
