As NFL offensive linemen get larger and larger, almost no weight seems to be too big. Until Eagles guard Max Jean-Gilles saw the scale hit an unacceptable number this offseason. “I was almost close to (400 pounds after the season) and I was like, ‘Oh I can’t live like this,’ ” said the 26-year-old five-year pro out of Georgia. “I was breathing heavy, and I was like, ‘Man, it’s not healthy for me to live like this.’ ” So Jean-Gilles underwent surgery Tuesday that placed a gastric band around his stomach.
