Eagles’ Jackson injures knee in morning workout

Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson left this morning’s practice with what the team is calling a hyper-extended right knee. It’s not known how long Jackson will be out, or even if his injury will prevent him from playing in the preseason opener Thursday against New England. Jackson was hurt during a drill in which he was being covered by Asante Samuel. Jackson walked gingerly off the field to the medical tent to receive treatment. He then was carted off the field. He has easily been the Eagles best wide receiver during training camp. This after he set a team rookie record for receptions and led the team in receiving yards last season.
