It was the ultimate show of respect. And fear. When the Denver Broncos’ defense took the field for the Eagles’ first play from scrimmage last week, strong safety Renaldo Hill lined up 25 yards deep. Hill was like a centerfielder awaiting a batter at the warning track. The reason was simple: DeSean Jackson. “You talk about having an impact on the game,” said Charley Casserly, a longtime NFL executive now working as an analyst for CBS. “You do that, and you’re playing with 10 men, because that [safety] has no impact on the run. . . .
