The Eagles, for the second straight week, locked up an important piece of this season’s hunt for a playoff berth and Super Bowl title. But they’re also building for the future, placing a high price tag on reliability and dependability along with on-field production. One week after adding four years and $18 million to right tackle Winston Justice’s contract, the Eagles rewarded tight end Brent Celek with a six-year extension reportedly worth $32 million, with $11 million guaranteed. Celek, a third-year pro in his first full year as a starter, leads the team with 54 receptions and ranks second behind DeSean Jackson with 601 receiving yards and five touchdown catches.
