Eagles’ Macho Harris wouldn’t mind permanent switch back to corner
IF HE WERE IN a strong enough position to ask questions, Eagles defensive back Macho Harris would probably have a few right about now. As a rookie last season, Harris, who was a 2008 first-team All-America for Virginia Tech, was asked during preseason if he could convert from corner to free safety. Although he had never played the position during his 4 years with the Hokies, Harris, like most fifth-round draft picks would, said he would do whatever it took “to help, and make, the team.” Harris performed well enough to earn the job as the successor to Brian Dawkins.
