Eagles’ McNabb says short Maclin holdout won’t hurt him

Still no sign of first-round wideout Jeremy Maclin at Eagles training camp, though Maclin is said to be in the Philadelphia area awaiting resolution of the contract negotiations between his agents, Jim Steiner and Ben Dogra, and the front office.Steiner texted yesterday that the parties were “negotiating our rear ends off,” but by the end of the day, no benefit was apparent, aside from perhaps slenderized hips. Team sources indicated no breakthroughs, and the count of signed first-rounders across the league remained at three, which both sides have acknowledged is not helping the effort to set a fair value for Maclin.The Eagles probably won’t turn up the “he’s-really-hurting-himself” …
