Eagles president Banner on McNabb: ‘He’s professional’

Eagles president Joe Banner was more than an interested observer when Donovan McNabb had his introductory news conference with the Washington Redskins yesterday. Asked his impressions after watching on television, Banner said, “He’s Donovan. He’s a great guy. He’s professional. That’s who he is.” Banner was attending last night’s Marian Anderson awards at the Kimmel Center. He also confirmed an ESPN report about the provisions of the trade that are “tied to how he plays,” Banner said. The Eagles received the Redskins’ second-round pick this year and a conditional fourth-round pick next year.
