Eagles QB Vick likes those Carolina uniforms

Various reports have said the Eagles have to pay Michael Vick’s $1.5 million roster bonus Friday, the day free agency starts. Actually, the Birds say the date is March 10, the fifth day of the league year. Most likely, nobody is going to give up anything for Vick until the Eagles pay that money; otherwise, Vick becomes a free agent and can be signed by anyone. In a recent Atlanta radio appearance, Vick said his preference would be to join the Carolina Panthers, who have not been among the teams most frequently linked to him, whatever that means. “Well, you know, it’s close to home.
