Will Witherspoon was part of the carousel at linebacker last season. But yesterday he found himself no longer along for the ride. The Eagles released Witherspoon, who was acquired in the middle of last season, a day after they tendered restricted free agent Akeem Jordan. The two were expected to compete for the starting job at weakside linebacker, but that position, at least for now, appears to be Jordan’s to lose.
