The Eagles’ roster shuffle continued yesterday when the team signed veteran tight end Alex Smith to a one-year, $1 million deal three days after he was released by the New England Patriots.To make room for Smith, the Eagles released tight end Tony Curtis, who had signed late last month and looked impressive in Thursday night’s preseason finale against the New York Jets.Since being released, Smith said he had visited with several teams, including the New York Giants, an Eagles rival in the NFC East.
