Eagles sign running back

January 20th, 2010

The Eagles added depth at running back yesterday by signing Martell Mallett, the Canadian Football League’s rookie of the year. Mallett, 23, spent the 2009 season with the B.C. Lions and rushed for 1,280 yards and six touchdowns. He averaged 5.8 yards per carry. Mallett also had two touchdown receptions. He was among a handful of running backs the Eagles recently worked out.
