Before you ask whether Howie Roseman was the best candidate for the job, you have to ask the more important question: What was the job? If the Eagles were looking for a general manager to come in and evaluate the organization from top to bottom and make hard decisions about the coaching and personnel staffs as well as the roster, well, then, no. A guy who spent 10 years learning the NFL from within the Eagles organization would not be the right person for that job. Roseman was promoted yesterday because the Eagles want to stay the course.
