Erik Ainge still part of Jets set at QB

Which left me to wonder: What about Erik Ainge? Oregon’s Gatorade player of the year in 2003 out of Glencoe High was a fifth-round draft pick of the Jets last season, and what little news we got about Danny Ainge’s nephew wasn’t good. Erik Ainge, coming off a big senior year at Tennessee, never got onto the field as a rookie, sitting behind veteran Brett Favre, Clemens and Brett Ratliff. In late October, Ainge went on injured reserve with a stress fracture of the right foot. While in the IR list, Ainge was hit with a four-game suspension for violating the NFL steroid and substance abuse policy.
