Ex-Cowboys defensive coordinator to join Eagles’ staff
Former Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Brian Stewart will join the coaching staff of the rival Philadelphia Eagles, a source said. Stewart has been in Philadelphia the past couple of days and is expected to sign a contract this week. After having his play-calling duties stripped last season and then being fired after the 44-6, season-ending loss to the Eagles, this was the opportunity Stewart was looking for to get back into the NFL. He had a taken a job as defensive coordinator of the San Francisco team in the newly formed United Football League, which will begin play next fall.
