Few protesters bark while Michael Vick shows rust in debut with Eagles

PHILADELPHIA – Michael Vick made little impact on the field Thursday night in his first game in 32 months, matching the mild pro-Vick rally by the Philadelphia chapter of the NAACP and the half-hearted anti-Vick protests outside the stadium. It was hardly an emotionally charged night. Vick brought an awful lot of baggage with him after serving 18 months for illegal dogfighting, but still received a warm response from Eagles fans when he entered for the first time on Philly’s second play from scrimmage in its 33-32 preseason win over Jacksonville. “I can’t explain the feeling,” Vick said. “It’s unbelievable, the way I was embraced.
