When the Eagles signed Michael Vick in August, some bought into coach Andy Reid’s assessment that Vick could be used advantageously in the offense. Others were skeptical. So far, the skeptics are winning. More than a quarter of the way into the season, Vick hasn’t scored a touchdown, thrown a touchdown pass, thrown a pass longer than one yard or broken a run longer than 11 yards. The wildcat role Vick once said he “invented” and Reid said would be the X-factor for the Eagles has hardly factored into the team’s 3-2 record.
