It is no secret the NFL preseason is among the most flagrant examples of consumer fraud perpetrated upon the American public. That has been true ever since the league’s owners hit upon the brilliant idea of forcing customers who want to see eight games to pay full price for 10 games.Lately, though, the gap between the exhibition games (a phrase the NFL abhors) and real football seems even wider.
