Hard camp gives Eagles the edge

If not for the end results, Sheldon Brown would complain about the Eagles’ preseason routine at Lehigh University – the length of training camp, the excessive hitting, the two-a-day practices, the heat, the dorm rooms. But because the Eagles are 56-27-1 in regular-season games played in November, December, and January since 2000 and because they have made the playoffs seven times, Brown says not a word. “Look, I know for a fact, because I’ve got a lot of [former] teammates around the NFL, we have one of the toughest training camps,” Brown said. “If we didn’t have that success toward the back end of the year, I would be one of the guys saying, ‘Training camp’s way too hard.’ I think we’re …
