Heckert looking forward to Browns’ challenge

Tom Heckert recognizes that the Cleveland Browns are not quite where the Eagles were when he arrived in Philadelphia in 2001. The Birds were about to go to the first of their NFC Championship Game appearances under Andy Reid. The Browns have been to the playoffs once, in 2002, since their return to Cleveland. “Obviously the Super Bowl is the ultimate goal,” Heckert, the Browns’ new general manager, said during his introductory news conference yesterday, according to the team’s Web site. “I didn’t come here to not make the playoffs.
