If Abiamiri returns, Eagles may deactivate versatile Babin

Eagles defensive end Jason Babin likes to think of himself as a team player. So he says he will do what’s best for the squad — even if that means being on the inactive list for Sunday’s game at San Diego. “The biggest thing is winning the game,” Babin said. “If it’s going to help us win the game, by all means that’s what we should do. But I’m not paid to make that kind of call. I’m paid to go out there, play, practice and perform.” At issue in Babin’s case is whether usual starter Victor Abiamiri will be able to return from a three-week injury hiatus. Defensive coordinator Sean McDermott said Thursday he hoped to have Abiamiri back, but suggested the Eagles would make no final decision …
