It’s time for a new roster to try for the final prize

At least now we know. The Eagles just weren’t good enough. They didn’t have the “best roster in the league,” as Eagles president Joe Banner proudly proclaimed last summer during training camp. And it wasn’t even close. Now, that roster will have to change. The Dallas Cowboys were clearly superior as they ended the Eagles’ season with a 34-14 thumping in their NFC wild-card playoff game on Saturday night. It was the first time the Eagles had lost their playoff opener under coach Andy Reid.
