Tired of hearing the same refrain about his weight, Max Jean-Gilles took action. The Eagles’ reserve guard, who said he ballooned to nearly 400 pounds this offseason, had a gastric lap-band inserted Tuesday in New Jersey to manage his persistent weight problems and rescue his roster spot. “I was just to the point that I gotta do it,” Jean-Gilles said Friday between practices at the team’s first full-squad minicamp.
