Juqua Parker’s marijuana bust might not produce much fallout
As more details come in about defensive end Juqua Parker’s arrest for allegedly possessing marijuana early this morning, Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid said today, the coach will have more to say. But don’t expect too much, even if Parker proves to be guilty as charged. Reid has had a good deal of experience dealing with players being caught with pot. Most times, only a firm slap on the wrist is warranted, and everyone moves on. Most recently, starting defensive tackle Mike Patterson was arrested on the same charge as Parker in the offseason between 2007 and 2008. Nothing really came of the incident, and Patterson went on to start every game last season.
