Lightning cuts Eagles practice short

The rainy morning practice at Lehigh University was cut short after about 50 minutes yesterday when a lightning strike got too close for comfort.As much as NFL coaches hate losing practice time, Andy Reid could at least smile at the sight of Jason Peters at left tackle for the first time in this training camp. Peters, the Eagles’ prize acquisition of the off-season, had spent the first five practices rehabilitating a quadriceps injury with trainer Rick Burkholder. He suffered the injury Thursday morning during the team’s conditioning test.”It felt good to get back out there with my teammates and get some reps,” Peters said.
