Linebacker prospects could tempt Eagles

For more than 30 years, NFL drafts have come and gone without the Eagles taking a linebacker in the first round. But the top-rated linebacker in this year’s crop, junior Rolando McClain from national champion Alabama, wouldn’t be surprised if they called his name April 22. Of course, he’d probably be disappointed, though. The Eagles don’t pick until 24th overall and McClain expects to go much earlier. “I think everybody’s pretty much interested (in me),” McClain said during his Saturday press conference here at Lucas Oil Stadium, the site of the NFL combine. “The question is if I’m going to be available.” Not since the Eagles took USC’s Jerry Robinson in the 1979 draft have they used a …
