Long wait nearly over for Eagles tight end Ingram

Cornelius Ingram last played in a football game 31 months-and-change ago. Ingram caught one Tim Tebow pass, for 17 yards, as his Florida Gators were upset by Michigan, 41-35, on Jan. 1, 2008, in the Capital One Bowl in Orlando, Fla. So Ingram is a tad antsy for Friday’s preseason opener against Jacksonville at Lincoln Financial Field. Maybe more than a tad. “I’m very excited,” Ingram said yesterday. “It’s been a long time. A long time. Regardless of going through training camp again, in full pads, you’re doing a lot of stuff – it’s still different from a game.” Ingram fell to the Birds in the fifth round of the 2009 draft because he had missed his senior season with an ACL injury.
