Lurie and Reid keep their eyes on a super prize

The three-year contract extension announced for Eagles coach Andy Reid inevitably will elicit the same brackish stream of opinions from the coach’s longtime supporters and detractors. But in Wednesday’s press conference to announce Reid’s second extension since becoming head coach in 1999, owner Jeffrey Lurie reaffirmed his faith in Reid to deliver the franchise’s first Super Bowl title.
