Maclin gets a chance

Eagles receiver Kevin Curtis continues to slowly try to work his way back from a couple of groin surgeries and a recent knee injury. Meanwhile, No. 1 draft pick Jeremy Maclin is eagerly awaiting his opportunity to show what he can do. “That’s pretty much how it goes,” Maclin said. “If one guy can’t go, the next guy has to step up and try and take advantage.” In reality, neither Maclin nor Curtis has been able to contribute much. After playing only a few plays in his NFL debut vs. Carolina, Maclin caught two passes last week against New Orleans for 12 yards. Curtis has caught five passes for 70 yards, but he admits he hasn’t been himself since he sustained a sports hernia and needed two …
