Maclin to start if Curtis ailing

Jeremy Maclin played his first NFL game in the season opener and caught his first NFL pass last week against New Orleans. Now it looks like the Eagles’ first-round pick could be making his first NFL start Sunday against Kansas City. Head coach Andy Reid said Maclin would get the start against the Chiefs if wide receiver Kevin Curtis can’t play. Reid also said former starter Reggie Brown would be active for the first time this season if Curtis is sidelined, but would serve as a backup. Curtis has been nursing a sore knee since training camp and played through sporadic pain but was withheld from practice Friday.
