The possibility is so outrageous that it could qualify as sheer genius on the part of Eagles coach Andy Reid. But what if the Eagles’ humiliating, 24-0 loss last Sunday was all part of Reid’s master plan to not only send his team to the Super Bowl, but to embarrass the Dallas Cowboys in the process? We all know that the Eagles were awful last Sunday. They couldn’t tackle. They rarely blitzed. They couldn’t, and wouldn’t, run. They couldn’t catch or throw. And they kept Michael Vick inactive for a second straight week with a quadriceps contusion, even though he practiced each day leading up to the game.
