McGlynn wants to start at center

The Eagles have their quarterback of the future in Kevin Kolb. However, it remains unclear as to who will be snapping the football to Kolb when the team begins its season Sept. 12 at Lincoln Financial Field against the Green Bay Packers. Jamaal Jackson, a Delaware State University product, had made 71 consecutive starts at center, from 2005 to 2009, before suffering a torn knee ligament Dec. 27 last year. Jackson had surgery Jan. 5, but it remains unclear whether he will be ready by the season opener. Reserve offensive lineman Mike McGlynn took most of the first-team reps at center in Friday’s minicamp at the NovaCare Complex, but Eagles coach Andy Reid suggested that Nick Cole would start …
