McNabb healed enough to play

Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb won’t make a full recovery from his broken rib for another few weeks, but with some added protecmcnabb-and-vicktion he’ll be ready for Sunday’s start. McNabb will make his first start since the season opener against 0-4 Tampa Bay, most likely wearing a protective flak jacket around his ribcage underneath his jersey. McNabb said he occasionally feels some pain, like when he’s sleeping on his side or making sudden movements, but doesn’t expect to be hampered on the field.
