McNabb will start, wear protective jacket
Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb said he’d start Sunday against Tampa Bay and that he can still “let it go” although his broken rib isn’t fully healed. McNabb said Wednesday before practice that he’d probably wear a protective jacket around his rib cage under his uniform jersey and estimated another two to three weeks before the fracture is no longer an issue. But he also emphasized that the discomfort has reduced greatly in the three weeks that he’s been away and that he can make any type of throw and absorb contact without worrying about risking further injury. “I’m excited about getting out there and moving around a little bit and getting this offense going,” he said.
