Momentum? Do Eagles really need it?

The commonly held belief is that a team needs momentum going into the playoffs, that it can’t win in the postseason without it. So as the Eagles get ready to play the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday in an NFC wild-card game, the questions are: Do they have it? And, does it matter? The Eagles seemed to have it by winning six straight games going into their regular-season finale last week against the Cowboys. They were playing for a chance to secure a first-round bye and home-field advantage in the second round. That didn’t work out so well. The Eagles were humiliated 24-0.
