Peeved Reid says Birds need hitting lessons

The Eagles moved another step closer toward clinching the NFC East title Sunday night, but head coach Andy Reid is looking back instead of ahead. Upset by his team’s consistently shoddy tackling, a season-long problem that resurfaced against the Giants, Reid suggested that his team would tackle in practice this week, something they haven’t done since training camp. “The obvious was, we missed too many tackles, in particular the secondary and linebacker level,” Reid said Monday, after his team won despite allowing 512 total yards, the most since they surrendered 564 in a 2005 loss to Denver. “We have to do a better job there, and that’s fundamentals.
