Philadelphia Eagles edge Jacksonville 33-32 despite an uneven performance

It started with an early appearance by Michael Vick and ended with a 33-32 come-from-behind victory over Jacksonville by the Philadelphia Eagles reserves who are battling for roster spots. In between, there were a whole lot of mistakes ranging from blown coverages by the defense to turnovers on offense that led to Jaguars touchdowns. The scary part for coach Andy Reid is that these gaffes are being made by the players who are supposed to be among the 22 players getting the majority of the snaps during the opener in Carolina. “I think overall we have a lot of things to work on,” quarterback Donovan McNabb said. “There were a couple of mistakes that were in the game that really shouldn’t …
