QB quality separates NFL teams

Matt Millen was asked recently about the gaping disparity between good and bad NFL teams. Millen knows a thing or two about each. He played on four Super Bowl-winning teams in his 12-year career. He also presided over the worst eight-year record (31-97) since World War II as general manager of the Detroit Lions. “A few weeks ago, I looked at the league, and I went through all the rosters and looked at all the quarterbacks,” Millen said. “Of all the times that I can remember over the last 30 years, this might be the most (skilled) group of quarterbacks that I’ve seen at one time.” The haves and have-nots are clearly decided by their quarterbacks.
