Tom Cable was feeling pretty good about himself Sunday afternoon. He was chippy in needling the media “looking to write negative things, worry about all the B.S.” He was randomly and rampantly throwing around hot-button words like “fight,” a day before his own freedom could be decided by the Napa County District Attorney. He was giving a lesson in United States civics to any and all interested parties by saying, “Ya know, you live in America for a reason; the process will take care of itself, enough said.” Indeed, you half expected Cable to exit Sunday’s postgame news conference decked out in Apollo Creed’s stars-and-stripes boxing garb accompanied by James Brown’s “Living in America” as …
