The three-year contract extension announced for Eagles coach Andy Reid will inevitably elicit the same brackish stream of opinions from the coach’s long-time supporters and detractors. But in Wednesday’s press conference to announce Reid’s second extension since becoming head coach in 1999, owner Jeffrey Lurie reaffirmed his faith in Reid to deliver the franchise’s first Super Bowl title.
