Reid says Westbrook is ready

Brian Westbrook is good to go. Eagles coach Andy Reid confirmed Friday that his two-time Pro Bowl running back will start Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. Westbrook’s name surprisingly surfaced on the injury report Thursday under the heading of “full participation” in practice. But Reid said Westbrook’s left knee, which tends to swell at times during the season, isn’t problematic. Westbrook underwent knee and ankle surgery in the offseason, which kept him out of all four preseason games. “He’s fine,” Reid said. “We’ve been trying to monitor him as much as we possibly can and just limit his reps.” Asked if the team has done anything unusual in its treatment of Westbrook’s knee, Reid …
