Roseman expected to fill Heckert’s role with Eagles

It’s hard to assess how the Eagles’ decision-making will be different with general manager Tom Heckert’s departure to Cleveland, presumably to be replaced by Howie Roseman, because we never have had a clear picture of exactly how it worked with Heckert here. But Andy Reid is losing what he called his “righthand man,” whom he hired in 2001, when Reid got power over personnel and Tom Modrak was forced out. Roseman, currently serving in the player personnel vice president role, began his Eagles career in 2000 as an assistant to team president Joe Banner.
