Steelers’ Shipley signs with Eagles

January 12th, 2010

Center A.Q. Shipley, a Coraopolis native who hoped to follow in Mike Webster’s footsteps with the Steelers, signed with the Philadelphia Eagles today. Shipley, who started 39 games at Penn State and made several All-American teams, was drafted in the seventh round by the Steelers last year. However, he did not make the team and spent the season on their practice squad.
