The Bell Tolls: Hopes high that Vick can reignite football skills

The new Philadelphia Eagles quarterback-in-restoration is expected to get a taste of live-action football again on Thursday night, against the Jacksonville Jaguars, in his first preseason-eligible or other league-sanctioned game in, well, more than two years. Vick, who joined the Eagles on Aug. 14 ago after being partially reinstated by NFL commish Roger Goodell, is undoubtedly eager to show that prison time didn’t rob him of the gifts that once made him the league’s most exciting player.
